You can apply for funding from the following programmes.  

BASIS programme
Area: England
Closing date: 27 August 2008
Minimum grant: £10,001   Maximum grant: £500,000 for projects within one region (£750,000 for England-wide projects)
Description: The BASIS programme aims to improve the infrastructure support available to all voluntary and community sector organisations in England.

Description: £160m will be available in year one of which up to £50 million is available through the Fastrack route.

Changing Spaces

Description: We are making up to £234 million available, until 2009,  to help communities in England improve their environment.

Research programme

Description: The programme will be open for applications by the end of 2007. The Big Lottery Fund will provide up to £25 million in the UK.

Family Learning
Area: England
Closing date: 29 August 2008
Minimum grant: £10,000   Maximum grant: £500,000
Description: Family Learning will help parents to understand more about how their children learn.

Parks for People
Area: England

Minimum grant: £250,000   Maximum grant: £5 million
Description: This three-year joint initiative between Heritage Lottery Fund and the Big Lottery Fund (BIG) helps with the restoration and regeneration of public parks and gardens.

Reaching Communities: England

Minimum grant: £10,000   Maximum grant: £500,000
Description: Reaching Communities, is a demand led England wide programme that will provide funding to help improve local communities and the lives of people most in need.

Fair Share
Area: UK
Closing date: 31 December 2013
Minimum grant: £5,000 (with some flexibility)   Maximum grant: £250,000 (with some flexibility)
Description: Jointly funded by the New Opportunities Fund and Community Fund, Fair Share is targeting 77 areas across the UK.

Awards for All England

Minimum grant: £300   Maximum grant: £10,000
Description: We can fund projects that enable people to take part in art, sport, heritage and community activities, as well as projects that promote education, the environment and health.
