As an organisation we are always looking for ways in which we can help charities promote the work they do to a wider audience, so we’ve established an exciting new partnership that will help you promote yourself for free to potential funders and donors.
theBigGive.org.uk is a site that helps funders and donors search out charities working in their areas of interest and get information on the aims and impact of thousands of projects. Thanks to the support of the Reed Foundation, the website is free to all users.
If you have received funding from The Big Lottery Fund Reaching Communities programme and register on The Big Give website, the Big Lottery Fund beneficiary logo will be displayed on your page. This will show visitors to the site that your charity has received funding from BIG’s Reaching Communities programme in the last 12 months or that you’ve been awarded a Reaching Communities grant that is still active.
Although the logo is not a quality mark, it will show potential funders and donors carrying out due diligence that your organisation went through our rigorous grant assessment procedures to get funding for a particular project.
Given the current economic climate, we feel this is a fantastic free opportunity to draw attention to the work that your charity does to a large audience of private sector companies and philanthropists, so we would encourage you to join the site.
If you have not received an email from the Big Lottery Fund with a unique link to The Big Give registration page but feel that you should have please contact you Reaching Communities grants officer.*
Please note that The Big Lottery Fund does not endorse any charity and advises any donors to conduct their own due diligence.
Please note that this is a pilot and subject to a successful trial period we will be opening up this opportunity to more Big Lottery Fund grant recipients.
* subject to your Reaching Communities grant funding being awarded in the last 12 months or your charity being having a Reaching Communities grant that is still active and not in dispute; you should have received an email asking you to register your charity on The Big Give site following the bespoke link to a BIG registration page.
