They will provide a series of demonstrations, lessons and competitions to raise awareness of the facilities available and encourage beginners to try them out.

To enhance the grounds of this community school; add a garden providing places for seating, new opportunities to explore wildlife & weather and increased  opportunities for imaginative and physical play.  The school grounds are shared by out of school care, holiday clubs, Scouts and parent toddler group in addition to the school. The new garden will complement the adventure play equipment already on site.

It will provide added security, and pay for a member of staff to concentrate on project management and promotion for the group.

This would be a drop-in facility for mothers and pregnant women wanting to find out more about breast-feeding. The bus will be parked in different locations each week for women to meet other mothers, feed their child and access specialist advice from staff and volunteers trained in peer support.
15-Nov-06 Taste for Adventure Taste For Adventure Centre Credenhill Village, Hereford Taste for Adventure Centre provides outdoor adventure activities for disabled, young and elderly people at the organisation's centre in Hereford. Their work assists disadvantaged people to develop self-confidence, personal and social skills and a sense of responsibility by participating in outdoor pursuits. This project would improve vehicular access, parking, and wheelchair access at the centre.  It would also fund new obstacles for the problem solving/obstacle course.

15-Nov-06 The Bronte Welcome Project Bronte Youth And Community Centre St Andrews, Liverpool The project will upgrade an existing youth and community building which is in a bad state of repair.   The current building is 33 years old.  The repairs are required to the flat roof; flooring, toilets, and upgrading of the entrance area.  The centre offers activities such as dance, pottery, football, mother and toddler group and bingo.
16-Nov-06 Battery Woodland Community Forests North West Limited Davyhulme/ Urmston, Trafford The project will transform a former landfill site which housed both a  prisoner of war camp and an anti-aircraft gun battery that protected the Lancaster Bomber aviation works in nearby Trafford Park, into a series of small woodlands and meadows. The area would maintain the historical importance of the prisoner of war camp and battery,  by including a memorial sculpture and a poppy field as a sign of peace and remembrance.  The plans for the project have been put forward by the local community, who will also help to carry out the work.

There is no such environment available in the area, and the play area would be accessible to three local specialist schools as well as the wider community. The project would take place in Fareham.

The project will primarily benefit the 70 pupils attending the school in Paisley, but the staff also hope to link with other special schools in the area to arrange social sports events in order to broaden the young people's social opportunities.
