The Big Lottery Fund’s vision is to help communities and people most in need, so we try and direct all our funding into areas where people, in a sense, need Lottery money most. And we fund what people want to do, what they feel will give them a greater sense of well being and a feeling of belonging in their communities.  I would love to be able to hear a community say that the whole community has improved, its social functioning, its economic functioning, it feels better about itself, it’s proud of its achievements and that they achieved that in some way through the Big Lottery Fund funding.
