Younger people can experience a number of transitions in their lives; from youth to adulthood, from education to employment and from dependence to independence, so BIG in Northern Ireland is making up to £20million available to Reaching Out – Empowering Young People.

Older people can experience a number of transitions in their lives where they are especially at risk of becoming isolated and excluded, such as retirement, health changes, or moving into residential care. BIG in Northern Ireland is making up to £20million available to Reaching Out – Connecting Older people.

Community venues in Northern Ireland can apply to BIG’s Energy Efficient Venues programme to make their venue more environmentally-friendly and energy efficient. As well as benefiting the environment, this programme will help community groups save on their heating and lighting costs.
