Summary of the programme
Supporting 21st Century Life recognises the rate at which our society is changing and the impact that population changes, changing communities and evolving technology has on people’s lives.
The pace, change and introduction of new technology can make people feel isolated or excluded. Services are not responding to our changing needs, and although people have access to more information, it is becoming harder for them to plan for the future.
We have funded a wide range of projects that help foster trust and understanding, and improve relationships and connections between people and communities. We are particularly keen to receive applications that:
- support people with the challenges of parenting especially lone-parents, step families, fathers and grandparents
- gain a better understanding of our changing needs as users of support services
- encourage people from different generations to spend more time together
- give advice and information to encourage relationships, positive connections between people and contact between generations.
Are you eligible?
Community and voluntary groups, who meet the necessary requirements, may apply.
