Summary of the programme
Change UR Future closed for applications on 25 September 2006.
Change UR Future has £10.8 million available in Northern Ireland, to support projects, that:
- focus on young people up to 25 years old
- last up to five years
- target resources at those young people at greatest risk of exclusion or offending.
- involve young people in designing, deliverying and evaluation of the project.
There is a two-stage application process. First, applicants have to fill in an outline proposal form. We will use this information to advise applicants on the suitability of their project. If we are unlikely to fund the project, we will explain why. If we feel the proposal could be improved we may highlight our concerns and suggest sources of help.
At the proposal stage, we ask applicants to set out their project outcomes, describing how their projects will make a difference and improve young people’s lives. We also want to know how young people have been involved in planning the project and will be involved in running and evaluating it.
If we think that this is a project we could fund, then we will send out a full application form. The full application involves more detailed information on the need for the project, its outcomes and how it will be run.
