At the Big Lottery Fund we're committed to promoting learning -- from our own experience and that of others, most notably our grant-holders.
The Research section of our website brings together publications and other material developed over the last fifteen years or so. The information here is mostly made up of:
- evaluations, where we investigate whether and why particular programmes or groups of programmes have been successful, and the reasons why, and
- research studies that look at current social issues, or explore in depth questions that help us and others to work better.
Another important area is supporting our applicants and grant-holders. We help them to plan their own learning and to promote what they find. For instance, we've produced guidance on self-evaluation for projects and information and wider knowledge about measuring impact.
Our Research Digest keeps you up-to-date with the latest research. It highlights and summarises key reports that have recently been published by us and others.
Read the November 2013 edition of the Research Digest.
Our research and learning is co-ordinate by the Evidence Unit, who work across the UK.
