About Scotland

Grant-making priorities are decided in Scotland, and take into account the views expressed in extensive consultation with voluntary and statutory organisations. Decisions on the grants that are awarded are made by committees recruited in Scotland, by people with an understanding of Scotland’s needs.

Funding is delivered through programmes that we design and develop to reflect local needs and priorities. We also aim to take into account different needs in different parts of the country.

Underpinning our work is a commitment to our values, with funding principles that inform our approach to funding. We want to provide you, our customers, with a first class service and make it easy for you to find out how to access lottery funding.

We have grants teams who work on our programmes, a policy team, an external relations team and an administration team. We have a management team for Scotland made up of the heads of Operations, Policy, External Relations and Planning and Support, led by the Director for Scotland.
