The Big Lottery Fund is responsible for distributing 40% of the money raised for good causes by the National Lottery. We are committed to bringing real improvements to communities and the lives of people most in need and have been rolling out grants to health, education, environmental and charitable causes across the UK since 2004.
We are looking to appoint up to five members to our Committee in Wales.
We particularly welcome applications from people living in North and Mid Wales, young people, people from black, Asian, minority ethnic or refugee backgrounds and people with a disability as we are currently underrepresented in these areas.
We’re looking for people that can demonstrate:
- an understanding and commitment to The Big Lottery Fund’s mission, vision and principles
- a strong track record of strategic decision making
- a clear understanding of the issues faced by Welsh Communities and the political context in which we live
- public speaking, presentation and media handling skills
The time commitment is expected to be in the region of up to 2 days per month. The successful applicant will receive an annual fixed payment of £5232. Legitimate expenses incurred on Big Lottery Fund business, including travel and subsistence costs, will be paid in line with our policies.

Interviews will be held in Cardiff or Newtown on the 17th and 18th of October and the successful applicants will be required to take up post in February 2018.
