You have told us that you would prefer to talk to us about your project idea before you start to complete an application form.
We have listened to your feedback and are asking applicants to contact us by phone or email before we send you an application form. This isn’t an assessment – we are here to support you to develop your project idea and talk through any questions you have.
You shouldn't worry that you only have one chance to speak to us. Remember you can contact us again for advice at any time. To get the most out of the conversation, make sure that you read the programme guidance, which is available below.
The type of questions we’ll ask you are available in the guidance document. It will be useful for you to have as much of this information to hand as possible. If you’re emailing us for advice about your project idea, please provide as much of this information in your email as possible so that we can respond with appropriate feedback.
If we think your project is something we could fund but you need to do some work on your idea, we will offer some advice for you to consider before giving you an application form.
If we feel your project is ready, we will send you an application form for you to complete and return to us. Once we have received your completed form, we will assess your application and provide you with a decision within three months. If your project isn’t something we can’t fund under People and Places, we will tell you why.
You can contact our Advice team by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 0300 123 0735 between 9.00am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.
