What’s it all about? Arrow pointing down

The People’s Projects gives National Lottery players and the public a say in where National Lottery money should be spent.

We’ve teamed up with ITV, STV, UTV and The National Lottery to celebrate some of the incredible projects that we've funded through our small grants programmes. A share of up to £3 million of National Lottery funding is up for grabs, which is decided by a public vote.

How does it work? Arrow pointing down

Organisations can apply to The People’s Projects online, from which shortlisted projects then have a chance to be part of a television broadcast and a public vote.

Applicants are invited to tell us what they have achieved with their recent funding, and how they would use up to £50,000 of funding to develop their work to build stronger communities. We’re looking for inspiring projects that bring people together and make their local community a stronger and happier place.

Each shortlisted project will work with ITV, STV or UTV to create a short film that will appear on television, encouraging people to get behind their project and secure votes as part of their campaign.

In April 2019, shortlisted projects will be featured on TV followed by a public vote in each region. The projects with the most votes will secure funding from the National Lottery.

Who can apply? Arrow pointing down

The People's Projects is only open to projects that have received a National Lottery Awards for All grant of £10,000 or less.

In England, organisations must be recipients of a National Lottery Awards for All grant over the past year.

In Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, organisations must be recipients of a National Lottery Awards for All grant over the past two years.

If your project is eligible, we’ll email you directly with details on how to enter.
