Funding size:
£300 - £10,000

What’s it all about?

Awards for All offers grants of between £300 and £10,000 for grassroots and community activity that aims to improve life for local people and neighbourhoods. It doesn’t have a deadline and you can apply at any time.

It is our most popular grants programme so we will prioritise groups with smaller incomes. Due to high demand on the programme, organisations that have a large annual income may not be able to get funding through Awards for All.

We recommend you send us your application at least four months before you want your project to start.

Please read the guidance notes (below) for a better chance of success with your application. We have very clear criteria as to what we can and cannot fund and explain how we prioritise applications to allow us to decide on which projects to fund.

Who can apply?

You can apply to Awards for All England if you are a community or not-for-profit group, parish or town council, health body, or school. You do not need to be a registered charity to apply. You must have a bank account that requires at least two people to sign each cheque or withdrawal.

What can you apply for?

We will fund activities that benefit the community, including:

  • hosting an event, activity or performance;
  • purchasing new equipment or materials
  • running training courses
  • setting up a pilot project or starting up a new group
  • carrying out special repairs or conservation work
  • expenses for volunteers, pay for workers and professional fees
  • transport costs.

You must use the grant within one year. Please read the guidance notes (below) before filling in the application form. We have very clear criteria as to what we can and cannot fund.

  • Read the guidance notes before you apply
