Learning from Talent Match
  • Print

We support young people to help themselves. One way we’re doing this is through our Talent Match programme. Through it, we’re supporting young people in England who are furthest from the labour market. We’re helping them to find jobs and shape a more positive future.

Watch our videos to find out more about Talent Match and why young people need this support.

Our work doesn’t just end with the programme. We want to make sure we’re supporting young people in the best way. That’s why we’re evaluating the Talent Match programme. The results will help us see which approaches work best. By knowing what works, we can make sure future programmes support young people to find jobs in the most effective way.

More about the research

We’ve commissioned the Centre for Economic and Social Research (CRESR) at Sheffield Hallam University to evaluate our Talent Match programme. The evaluation will consider:

  • which approaches help young people most effectively
  • potential savings and other benefits getting young people into work can make to the wider economy.

The evaluation began in 2013 and will run until 2019. We’ll publish the reports on this page when they are produced.

The first annual TM report is now available. This covers the period up to end June 2014, during which projects were first setting up and then beginning to start delivery.

CRESR have also completed two case study reports on key aspects of Talent Match.

Further reports will be made available as they are produced.
