Reaching Communities provides funding between £10,000-£500,000 for voluntary or community groups.
Our funding will enable you to use your local knowledge, strengths and resources. The most important thing is that you tell us about your ideas to make positive changes in your community. We particularly want to hear about projects that support:
- Lasting and sustainable changes to places and spaces
- Communities to develop happier and stronger relationships with each other
- Taking action to focus on the root causes of social problems to tackle them at the earliest possible stage.
We have used your feedback, comments and opinions to make the way we award funding in England simpler, more flexible and responsive to local needs.
We want to talk to you about your ideas early on so that we can give you the best funding advice. We suggest you call our Big Advice team on: 0345 4 10 20 30.
You can also find out more by downloading the new guidance notes and Stage one application below.
For applicants in Yorkshire & Humber
As part of our work to improve Reaching Communities, we’re asking anyone in Yorkshire & Humber who’s thinking of applying for more than £10k of funding to talk to us about your idea first. This is because we are trialling a different, more local way of working with you.
Please contact us by emailing YorksandHumberTeam@biglotteryfund.org.uk or ringing 0345 0 10 11 12. Please do not download and submit an application form without speaking to us first.
If you are a voluntary or community group such as a charity, co-operative, social enterprise or community interest company, a not for profit company limited by guarantee or a statutory organisation such as a local authority or school then you can apply for this funding. When setting up your management committee please make sure it has at least three unrelated members.
Partnerships are also welcome to apply as long as they are led by a voluntary, community or social enterprise (VCSE) organisation. However, we are unable to fund individuals or sole traders, profit making groups or those not established in the UK.
